Hey thanks for such a long list of criticisms. Maybe you should have tried to write your own explanations in your blog. Anyway since you spent some time to comment it, let’s begin.. !
- I don’t know what is second part of equation 1.4. Since b is just a number, you can think of it as c = -b.
- Is it about eq. 1.9 and 1.10 ? I think it is written in italic that the width of the road will be the dot product of this difference vector with an unit vector perpendicular to the road.
w is not the unit vector but {vector (w)/magnitude (w)} is. Most importantly people with no idea about unit vector and scalar projection are anyway not in a level to appreciate or understand the blog. So…
3. b does cancel out, and that is important. I’m not so sure what more someone would explain on -b-(-b) = 0 . Harald Scheidl’s comment was noted and corrected long time back. Maybe rather than spending time on writing this comment if you do it on a paper, hopefully you will get it.
4. How the hell |w| came on picture in eq. 1.10 ? Maybe it came from eq. 1.9 and maybe it came from the assumption that somebody reading the post has idea about unit vectors?
5. All of a sudden j came into picture ? It didn’t. That’s how you denote elements, rather than writing two i’s and confuse the heck out of readers, usually written like i and j. I am afraid you need to spend much time in vector notations! I thought this comment as a troll! Seriously !!!!!
I stop here for now and hopefully it answers some of your questions/criticisms ? Also, if you have problem in understanding, please don’t generalize because you may not be in the mean of average intelligence of Indian people.
Thanks !
